We are pleased to announce that the project proposed by Takasago Industry Co., Ltd. has been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)'s FY2025 Supplementary Budget Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Project Subsidy (Small-scale Demonstration / FS Projects).
For this subsidy program, 65 projects, including ours, were selected from 238 applications after a rigorous screening process by external experts.
■ Overview of the Selected Project
• Project Name: Feasibility Study on the Establishment of a Manufacturing Base for Heat Treatment Equipment for Storage Battery Materials in India
• Target Area: India
• Project Details: We will conduct a feasibility study (FS) on establishing a local manufacturing and sales base in India for heat treatment equipment, which is essential for manufacturing storage battery materials (cathode and anode materials).
■ Future Outlook Through this study, we will lead the construction of a resilient and sustainable battery manufacturing ecosystem in India. In addition, through the expansion of these businesses, we will create new employment opportunities for research and development personnel and global talent in Japan (at our headquarters), thereby contributing to the strengthening of domestic industrial competitiveness.
