5 Strengths
advantage 01
World-Class Testing Facilities & R&D
Over 19 test furnaces supporting 150+ developments annually
At our Test Center in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, we maintain over 19 diverse test furnaces. We have established a system that allows customers to conduct test firings with their actual materials and, based on the results, introduce the optimal equipment.
While many equipment manufacturers typically offer "proposals based on catalog specifications," Takasago Industry places great emphasis on "pre-verification using the customer's actual materials." This minimizes the risk of post-installation issues where results differ from expectations. The database accumulated from over 150 annual test projects serves as a powerful tool for identifying optimal heat treatment conditions for new materials in the shortest possible time.
Particularly for unprecedented material development such as next-generation battery materials and new ceramic materials, this "verification-first" approach significantly accelerates our customers' development speed. By identifying optimal conditions during the testing phase, we contribute to dramatically shortening the startup period for mass production equipment.

Proprietary Patented Technologies
Technology development for next-generation materials
Carbon Shell Technology (US Patent 8500444B2)
In the firing of cathode and anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, the "risk of metallic foreign matter contamination" was unavoidable with conventional metal heat treatment equipment. Takasago Industry solved this industry-wide challenge with our proprietary Carbon Shell Technology, which employs carbon materials. By preventing metal contamination, we contribute to improved battery performance and higher yields.
Externally Heated Rotary Kiln (Japanese Patent)
This technology enables the continuous production of high-quality carbonized materials, which was difficult with conventional internally heated kilns. By placing the heat source externally, direct thermal damage to materials is suppressed, enabling stable production of uniform, high-purity carbonized products. For materials where quality variation is a challenge, such as activated carbon and carbon black, this contributes to quality stabilization and significant reduction in defect rates.

Total Support Production System
Design to maintenance, all in-house
In the industrial furnace industry, it is common for design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance to be handled by separate companies in a "division of labor" model. However, since our founding, Takasago Industry has maintained an "end-to-end integrated system" where all processes are completed in-house.
Three Benefits for Our Customers
1. Flexible Response to Specification Changes
Even mid-production material changes or temperature condition revisions can be addressed immediately through internal coordination alone. Since renegotiations with subcontractors are unnecessary, we achieve shorter lead times and cost control.
2. Single Point of Contact
When problems occur, there is never any confusion about who to contact. With a single point of contact, a dedicated representative who knows every detail from design to manufacturing responds quickly.
3. Long-Term Improvement Proposals
Over 10 or 20 years of use, our maintenance personnel continuously propose energy-saving improvements and productivity enhancements based on accumulated data. We build partnerships that go beyond simply "delivering and finishing."
For equipment that has been in use for many years, we have numerous cases where renewal proposals incorporating the latest energy-saving technologies have achieved significant reductions in energy costs.
advantage 04
Global Track Record
Delivered to over 40 countries worldwide
Since launching our international business in the 1970s, we have achieved delivery records to over 40 countries, primarily in Asia, Europe, and North America. Notably, in 1995, we realized the export of a large-scale plant to Germany, a leading industrial machinery nation.
Three Strengths Cultivated through Global Expansion
1. Expertise in Diverse Regulations and Standards
Through over 70 years of international experience (40+ countries), we have accumulated design know-how for compliance with safety standards in various countries.
For international projects, we provide one-stop support from certification to on-site installation.
2. Flexibility for Different Raw Materials and Conditions
We can design equipment optimized for the raw material characteristics and power supply conditions that vary by country and region.
We provide equipment tailored to our customers' local conditions.
3. Collaboration with Local Partners
We have positioned local partner companies in major markets and built after-service systems.
While maintaining Japanese quality, we also deliver the responsiveness of local support.

Future Investment & Environmental Solutions
Next-generation technology development & environmental commitment
We are collaborating with 3DC, a startup originating from Tohoku University, through the use of our equipment, to support the mass production of "Graphene Mesosponge (GMS)," a next-generation carbon material. We are also promoting environmentally conscious production through ISO 14001 certification and advancing technology development toward achieving carbon neutrality.
Active Investment in Next-Generation Material Development
We are collaborating with 3DC, a startup originating from Tohoku University, through the use of our equipment, to support the mass production of "Graphene Mesosponge (GMS)," a next-generation carbon material.
The greatest barrier to the social implementation of university-originated research is "bridging the gap from lab scale to mass production scale." Takasago Industry's test equipment and scale-up know-how provide the capability to overcome this barrier.
Serious Commitment to Carbon Neutrality
We have obtained ISO 14001 certification and promote environmentally conscious production.
Furthermore, we are currently accelerating technology development toward decarbonization across the entire industrial furnace industry.
Specifically, we are achieving significant CO2 emission reductions through enhanced efficiency of electric heater furnaces, improving energy utilization through standard integration of waste heat recovery systems, and realizing highly efficient and clean heating processes by adopting hydrogen combustion technology. For vacuum furnaces, vacuum carburizing achieves zero CO2 emissions from the equipment, reduces heat treatment distortion to shorten post-processing, and improves the working environment while reducing energy costs through vacuum insulation. To contribute to achieving carbon neutrality across our customers' entire factories, we provide proposals that encompass not just "individual equipment performance" but "energy optimization across the entire factory."
